Celebrating the Journey So Far

As 2025 closed, The Creative Mouse studio entered an exciting new chapter built on appreciation and growth.

With our long-standing Creative Director Bill retiring, we take time to recognise the strong creative foundations, and values he established during his leadership. His impact on the studio has been lasting, and we wish him every happiness in his well-earned retirement.

Now led by studio members Rob and Steve, we’re embracing a fresh dynamic that honours our past while looking forward with confidence, energy and optimism for the future.

Bill is hanging up his boots after an impressive 45-year creative career.

From an early age, Bill showed a passion for photography and drawing. He often captured snaps of his beloved Liverpool. Consequently, his creative journey began at Southport College, where his talent quickly stood out. Soon after, he rose through the ranks to lead creative departments at major catalogue companies, including Kays and Littlewoods.

Specialising in catalogue design and art direction, Bill worked extensively on photography shoots. As a result, his career took him around the world. He collaborated with leading photographers and models, producing catalogue pages for top brands during the industry’s peak. Most memorably, he also sported an iconic moustache, rivalled only by Tom Selleck in his magnum era.

In 2000, Bill and two colleagues decided to go it alone and founded Creative Mouse. Initially, they continued working within the catalogue industry, producing artwork and directing photography shoots. However, as new opportunities emerged, the team expanded. Shortly after, they moved into a new space that included a dedicated photography studio.

As Bill looks to retire, Creative Mouse hit its 25th year, an amazing achievement for any business. Over the years employees have come and gone but always kept in touch, echoing the friendly appreciative company ethos that has always been at the heart of its success.

Finally, it was wonderful to see friends and family together at Bill’s send-off celebration. We wish him every happiness as he begins a new chapter, and we continue to grow in his stead.

Well done, Bill. You truly smashed it.
